Hello Mike,
I have found that you are a son of Arlene Bean Meservy. I used to contact her and share geneology information about the Bean and Lewis families. I am a decendant of Elizabeth Lewis and James Bean through their daughter Nancy. I recently tried to contact Arlene only to discover that she passed away Last Summer. I have been able to make contact with some distant relatives who are decendants of Elizabeth's younger brother James Lewis who settled in Scotland Co. Missouri. I met with them at a family reunion near Memphis, MO in Scotland County. They had no new information but one of the cousins was willing to participate in the Lewis Family DNA project and the results from that test have linked me to other distant Lewis relatives. I have been able to establish that our Lewis's came from Wale. The test has helped us eliminate some lines, in particular the Lewises of Barnstable, Mass are not our family. One of our close matches has contacted me and he thinks that our common link is Zachary Lewis who settled in King and Queen County, VA or Spotsylvania Co VA. http://lewis187.home.mchsi.com/Lewis/Zach-98.htm Of course we still have to find proof of this.

One of the things that Arlene sent me was a photo copy of the pages from James Adison Beans missionary journal that list the families of Elizabeth's siblings that lived in Illinois and Northern Missouri. I lost all my records in a home fire several years ago and I am trying to find another copy of James's journal. I have googled on line (that's how I found your pages) with out success. Would you know how I could find this information.

Thank You,
Anne Hansen
