“One’s life . . . cannot be both faith-filled and stress-free.”
“Therefore, how can you and I really expect to glide naively through life, as if to say, ‘Lord, give me experience, but not grief, not sorrow, not pain, not opposition, not betrayal, and certainly not to be forsaken. Keep from me, Lord, all those experiences which made Thee what Thou art! Then let me come and dwell with Thee and fully share Thy joy!’
“Real faith . . is required to endure this necessary but painful developmental process.”
Elder Neal A. Maxwell (1926-2004) of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, “Lest Ye Be Wearied and Faint in Your Minds,” Ensign, May 1951 pg 88,90.
Within these pages lies an opportunity to document some of the favorite thoughts and quotes, and of course some of the favorite exploits of a newly, and happily married man.

Sarah's Birthday 2010
Today was Sarah's birthday. This evening Brighton and Cara took her shopping for some clothes and after the shopping trip the family got together for some build your own crepes. A Sarah specialty and favorite. Desert consisted of Dad cooked brownie mix topped with candles and powdered sugar by Brighton. The candles were not edible but looked good while lit. Served with vanilla ice cream.
